Clean Up Mission Beach
|
Meet at Mission Beach Park, on the South side of the roller coaster (Belmont Park).
Free parking is available in the main parking lot just south of the roller coaster.
This Fourth of July, thousands of San Diegans and tourists alike will flock to the beaches and bays for some fun in the sun over their holiday weekend. CBS 8, Wells Fargo and the San Diego Clean Beach Coalition is asking all of you beach-lovers to pick up after yourselves and do your part to preserve the beauty of San Diego’s world-famous coastline. Don’t forget to dispose your trash properly in nearby trashcans or bring your own trash bag with you to the beach. Then, join Volunteer 8 on Monday morning for our fun-in-the-sun clean up.
For more information, and to register, please call: 1.800.237.BLUE.
The San Diego Clean Beach Coalition is a collaboration of local non-profit organizations and city agencies focused on coastal stewardship, raising awareness of beach litter issues and preventing marine debris. For more information, please visit http://cleanbeachcoalition.org/. |
ThANK YOU!
Nearly 1000 Volunteers!
Thank You San Diego for joining Volunteer 8, Wells Fargo, the City of Chula Vista, and I Love a Clean San Diego for Beautify Chula Vista Day on Saturday, October 6th. Through your efforts, we cleared tons of trash and debris, removed graffiti, and planted dozens of trees to help beautify and protect our community of Chula Vista.
It’s the power of you…the power of Volunteer 8.
